Comments and all

I would have deleted the most recent comment on of my post as a spam, thinking it was along the same lines as this (which btw I found very interesting)
And I was reading this spam comment, I dissected it in my head, as if I was talking to this person:

A person essentially lend a hand to make significantly articles I'd state. This is the very first time I frequented your website page and so far? I amazed with the analysis you made to create this actual post incredible.
(Really? You mean it? I am floored by your appreciation. I mean what analysis did you find in a post written for my dad)

And certainly, thanks in your sweat! hello!,I love your writing very much! percentage we be in contact more approximately your post on AOL? I need a specialist on this house to solve my problem. May be that is you! Looking ahead to look you.

Seriously,I sometimes wonder how do spammers come up with the contents for spam messages? In all good sense, sometimes I do think they are pretty creative; if only this creativity could be channeled in some useful activity.

Anyways, this comment was eventually deleted. But this one, I luckily did not and realised it was not a SPAM but something I feel good about.
And here it is:

I actually googled "Best Indian Blogs Directory" and found the list and saw my name listed there.
Hence, an undeleted comment and a very happy me :-)

Pets or kids? Err.. what do you think?

A colleague of mine made a very disturbing(for me) comment some time back. It made me think a lot. Let me know what you people have to say about it:

"I would rather have 2 pets than having a kid. My wife wants to have one, but see my theory is, if the kids grow up and do not turn out as I wanted them to be, then it is going to be a huge disappointment for me. But with pets, it is never the case. They will just behave the way you want."

The first thought that came to my mind after hearing this was :What if your parents had thought the same way?

Let me tell you something else too: This person comes from a very different culture and background that I am from. So I generally try not to be too judgemental on the person because I may not be knowing all the facts about them. But when X said this, I said to myself "You are better off with a pet only."
