To bring someone's son, someone's brother back, from a place where he was gone for fulfilling some dreams
Ten years, degree, job, a house and a 4year old son later, her return from this stranger’s land to her country seems like an impossible dream to achieve.

Namit
I blog at http://i-am-a-man-namit.blogspot.com/
Let's welcome her with open arms=D
I think this could ve spawned into a nice long story really.
Enjoyed reading it.
She should come back... I too feel that you should have written a nice long story...
All the best for BAT..
Someone Is Special
A beautiful take on the prompt :)
I hope she returns some day :)
Cheers!!
Short, plausible and powerful. I liked it
Let's hope she does return, mission completed.
The return of a return sometimes never returns ...
Crispy wisdom... :)
A wonderful take on the prompt but as everyone has already said that it would have been conveyed in a better way, had it been a little longer post.
Nevertheless, i quite liked the concept.All the best!
crunch lil thought, all the best
Nice take on the prompt :)
nice take...!!!
hope she shall return soon before its too late..!!!
Nice.. :) ATB for the BAT.. :)
And when will she return. WIll be she be successful?
ATB for BATOM14
Of hope & expectation.. will she return to arms wide open?
@Namit: Thanks!!
@riikainfinityy: I am sure she would like that, only if she can go back.
@Gyanban, @Someone is Special: You are right that this could be spawned into a nice long story and may be I'll try my hands at that too someday.Thanks for visiting and you kind words.
@CB, @phoenixritu; Thank you
@dreamer:I hope so too, for her sake.
@Mahesh:Really crisp :-) Thanks and welcome to the blog.
@Jaspreet: Welcome and thanks. And as for the story, it may happen sometime, just not this time.
@Saket: Thanks for the kind words
@Swaram: Thank you :)
@Ms Meduri: Thanks. I hope so too
@Bedlam:Thanks
@Md Muddassir: Don't know yet, may be she will, may be she won't
@Kevin: Me too don't know. What do you think?
people set to move forward and achieve their goals but barely ever stop to think of returning to their past....picking up (even if its for a vacation) and enjoying where they used to be...
Too short but it creates a power-packed impact on the reader. Good luck for BAT!
I'm hoping ;)
Hehe. Initially I thought it was going to be a Fiza-like story. Where did she go? (checking your thoughts out)
Good end. Good luck.
That's a wonderful tale in 55 words! Sure, she will come, soon!
All the best for BAT!
Cheers :)
effective :)
Interesting 55 fiction. But why return? HUmanity has to move on. One can't remain attached to one's land any more.
I don't think this is fiction at all.
This happens and the hope in such women is all too real.
All the best with the BAT.
owww.... hope she returns, have seen many cases this way!!!
Its sad plight to see you stuck in strangers land. :(
Cheers,
Sid
I like your words but the context was a little lost on me-a little elaboration perhaps?
Who is she-a sister? And if she got into a good education,kids etc. then what happened to the purpose for which she had gone in the first place?
little cofused... is it like an NRI bride who is coming back home???
@Sidra: Thanks for dropping by. and you got it so right, people tned to forget their roots.
@Samadrita:Thank you.
@Kevin: Me too desperately
@Kshitij: No, not a fiza like story !! It is much closer to the real story happening I guess to a lot of us.
@Shilpa: Thanks.
Sadiya:Thank you
@The Fool: True that one can't remain attached. But heart is always where home is. And there, she must return.
@D2: Yes, it is not a complete fiction. It is all based on what I have seen and experienced around me
@Siddhesh:I hope so too. Thanks for stopping by.
@Brijender: I am glad you asked. She can be anyone and each one of them too: a sister, a daughter, a wife.
And exactly, she got into education, kids and the purpose for which she had gone in the first place got lost. It's the plight of most of the youngsters who came out of India in search of one goal, but then got neck deep into the fancy life and luxuries of other world that they find it difficult day by day to get out of that.
@Sweta:she can be a bride, a sister, a daughter, anyone, who goes out of India on one goal but later just settle there !!
definately needed a longer post, leaves reader wondering what is the meaning, i understood it as brain drain sort of topic, good one though. this can be applied to topic return very nicely.
Interesting !
LOL...looks like she went there to have a kid ! :D :D
Something interesting going on here..!
